Adoption Process

Step 1: Submit an Adoption Application

Complete our adoption application, which helps us learn more about your experience, home setup, and what you’re looking for in a guinea pig companion. We require that all adopters:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have an appropriate enclosure that meets our space and welfare requirements
• Provide a home where a single guinea pig will have a companion or adopt a bonded pair

Step 2: Phone Call Consultation

Once we receive your application, we will schedule a phone call to get to know you better and help find the perfect match. During this call, we will discuss:

• Your experience with guinea pigs
• The personalities of our available guinea pigs
• Any questions you may have about care and setup

Step 3: Enclosure Review and Adoption Preparation

To ensure a safe and comfortable home for your guinea pigs, we ask for photos of your enclosure setup. If adjustments are needed, we will provide guidance on how to meet proper housing standards. We are here to help you prepare every step of the way, from housing and diet to bonding and enrichment.

Step 4: Finalizing the Adoption

Once approved, we will arrange a time for you to meet and bring home your new guinea pig(s). You will sign our adoption agreement and receive care instructions to ensure a smooth transition. Our team remains available for ongoing support after adoption.
