At Sunshine Piggy Rescue of Florida, we focus on rescuing and rehoming guinea pigs & other small animals in need throughout Central Florida. We are a foster-based rescue, meaning we do not have a facility—all of our guinea pigs are cared for in loving foster homes. This ensures they receive personalized care, socialization, and attention to prepare them for adoption.

💔 We recently took in a large number of male guinea pigs who had nowhere else to go. To help make space, we are offering a special adoption fee for male guinea pigs this month:
🔹 $40 for a bonded pair (MALES) – Normally $75
🔹 $20 for singles (MALES) – Normally $40
We also have female guinea pigs available for adoption at a reduced rate this month:

These two adorable boys are a bonded pair looking for their forever home. They’re a little shy at first, but with some patience and gentle love, they warm up and enjoy snuggles and cozy cuddle time.
Freckles is a lovable skinny pig who’s fully healed after surgery to remove cysts—he’s feeling great and ready for his next adventure! As a skinny pig, he’ll need a bit of extra care to keep his delicate skin healthy. Lyric is a handsome Peruvian boy with beautiful flowing hair that will need regular grooming to stay tangle-free.
With their gentle personalities and sweet bond, Lyric and Freckles are sure to make your heart melt.

Xena’s journey to our rescue was one of strength and resilience. She arrived in horrible condition, suffering from an open cyst that required immediate surgery. Thankfully, the cyst was benign, and her surgery was a success! Now, this little warrior is fully recovered and ready to find her forever home.
Despite her tough start, Xena is an incredibly sweet and affectionate piggy who adores human attention. She loves to cuddle and is great with people of all ages, including children. She enjoys spending time with her human friends and is always happy to be held and doted on.
However, Xena prefers to be the only guinea pig in the home, as she does not get along well with other piggies. She would thrive as a single piggy in a loving home where she can be the center of attention.
If you're looking for a snuggly, people-loving companion, Xena might just be the perfect match for you!

Sushi came in with a hay poke injury and had his final vet check-up on 3/8/25. He’s been fully cleared, though he may have slightly limited vision in one eye.
